How to get here

Travelling to Duisdale

  1. By Train

    From Inverness

Travel by train from Inverness to Kyle on one of the world's most scenic routes. Our homely hotel is just 20 minutes from Kyle station.

    From Glasgow

Take the train from Glasgow to Mallaig via Fort William for a more sustainable way to travel. The rail journey from Fort William to Mallaig is classed as one of the UK's most scenic rail journeys, and you might recognise it from the classic family favourite, Harry Potter.

You can then take the boat to Armadale - Duisdale is just 15 minutes from the pier.

  2. By Car

    From the Skye Bridge

Continue to the roundabout and take the 3rd exit, continue on A87 for 6 miles to the junction which indicates Armadale to the left. Turn left and continue on A851 for 6.3 miles. Duisdale is on the right-hand side of the road.

Via Fort William and then ferry from Mallaig to Armadale

Take the famous “Harry Potter” route and drive to Mallaig via Glen Finnan, then take the Calmac ferry to Armadale which is a 15-minute drive from Duisdale. Visit Calmac for timetables if you're looking to come via the Armadale Ferry.

    From Armadale Ferry

From the terminal, continue on the A851 towards Broadford for 8.2 miles. Duisdale is on the left-hand side and well-signposted. Visit Calmac for timetables if you're looking to come via the Armadale Ferry Car charging

There are plenty of vehicle charging stations close to at Broadford and Kyle of Lochalsh, as well as An Crubh in Sleat.
