Traditional Times

Get your toes tapping at our afternoons of traditional music from Sunday 12th May.  Sit back, relax and let Rab Woods and Ann Barlow entertain you.

Luminaries of Argyll’s trad scene, Rab Woods and Ann Barlow have been musical partners for nearly a decade.

Glaswegian Rab has lived in Oban for 20 years, soaking up the Gaelic culture and music of his adopted home. A multi instrumentalist and vocalist, he has performed around the world and featured on several recordings.

An Argyll native and music teacher by trade, Ann is an award winning fiddle player, singer, performing artist and conductor, and winner of The Grace Robertson Memorial Baton at The Royal National Mòd, Scotland's premier Gaelic festival.

From lively dance tunes and sing-alongs to evocative laments and love ballads, their vast repertoire features a blend of various styles, focussing on the rich Gaelic tradition of Scotland’s West Highlands & Islands.

Non-residents are always welcome, entry is free.
