Tales by the Fireside
Learn about the mysteries and legends of Skye from the locals. From Sea Kings and Skye’s Greatest Villains to real tales of Bonnie Prince Charlie in Skye, Coinneach and Dòmhnall join us at Duisdale with a fair few tales to tell about Skye’s history.
Tales by the Fireside
What better way to discover the mysteries and legends of Skye than from the locals? Coinneach Maclean and Dòmhnall Uilleam Stiùbhart share many tales, revealing the true stories that shaped Skye’s history and heritage.
They continue to recount Scottish folklore at Duisdale House Hotel, offering fireside enrichment that brings these mysteries to life and unravels common misconceptions about Skye’s past.
The talks journey from the shadowy world of Broch-builders, monks and Vikings, through the age of Sea Kings and the Lords of the Isles, to the turbulent legacy of Bonnie Prince Charlie.
This free event takes place on a Saturday once a month and non-residents are most welcome to the talk:
