Even more major expenditure is in the pipeline with the aim of ensuring the three hotels in the Collection are the destinations of choice for visitors to the world famous island, Group General Manager Andreas Maszczyk said.

Among developments have been building three luxury lodges (pictured) and fully refurbishing bedrooms at the four star Duisdale House on the southern peninsula of Sleat, and creation of a family suite in the iconic tower and another double room at Skeabost House near Skye’s main town of Portree.

“Coronavirus has had a profound effect on the hospitality sector around the world,” Andreas added. “However, the industry is bouncing back and we are investing heavily in quality buildings, furnishings, service, raw materials and staff in order to remain at the forefront of the hospitality offering on one of the world’s most loved islands.

“We are determined to further improve guests’ experience of accommodation, food and service so each takes away long lasting positive impressions, believing we have exceeded their expectations.”

The lodges at Duisdale are designed to take full advantage of views over the gardens and out to the Sound of Sleat and Knoydart wilderness. They feature King size beds with Egyptian cotton sheets, a feature bath, rainfall shower, flame effect fireplace, dimmable lights and an integrated music system, allowing guests to create their own atmosphere.
