We know dogs are part of the family, so why should they miss out on a trip to North-West Scotland? We have a range of dog-friendly rooms at Duisdale, Toravaig and Knipoch - plus plenty of outdoor adventures for your four-legged friends near each hotel.

Please let us know, at the time of booking, if you will be bringing your dog with you.

  1. Our Dog Policy

    At Duisdale we have a number of dog friendly rooms – please ask at time of booking for availability. Dogs are not permitted in the lounge area or restaurant but are welcome in the Chart Room bar to join you for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

    At Skeabost we currently accept dogs in our garden rooms only.

    At Toravaig accept dogs in our deluxe rooms only.

    At Knipoch we have a number of dog friendly rooms – please ask at time of booking for availability. Dogs are not permitted in the lounge area or restaurant but are welcome in the bar to join you for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

    Sonas Dog Terms and Conditions

    Maximum of two dogs per room.
    From 6th October 2025 until the end of March 2026 we are charging £15 per dog per night (Normally £25 per dog per night) which includes their own comfortable dog bed and water bowl.
    We kindly ask that dogs are not left unattended for extended periods of time in hotel bedrooms.
    In the interests of safety for your dog and local wildlife, please keep your dog on a lead at all times, especially close to local livestock.
    We kindly remind dog owners to always clean up after their dog on hotel grounds.
    Finally, if any damage occurs as a result of the dog, owners will be charged for the repairs. If the room requires deep cleaning as a result of your dog being in the room, there will be a charge of £200 added to your stay.
